Our beloved country

I've been thinking to write about our beloved country for quite some time now or as we think of it as our beloved country. Although there are serious questions as to how much do we love our country? The current situation of what is happening around us does not permit us to sit quietly in our homes. The problems of the valley of Swat, the problems of the tribal areas in NWFP, the suicide bombings throughout the country and the other upsetting things that will shock your soul. Where are we going with this? Will it ever end is the question that arises in my mind every now and then whenever I look at the newspaper or news channel. All I see is misery of people dying and being killed by other human beings. Sometimes it comes to my mind that probably the dark ages were better than where we currently stand.
We have been fighting for democracy for last nine years, what has democracy brought upon us it is evident that the problems that the faced have escalated even more. The government is now blaming the previous government as the government before them and as the one before them it is a chain of mockery which has no end to it. A common man who only needs enough food so that he can feed his children and family is unable to do that in current times of hardship how hard he works how much pressure he puts how much force he uses it is all irrelevant because in the end of the day he is unable to feed his family and his children and that is when the problem arises and that is when an average person turns to a crime. This is the point where social boundaries fail. How is one going to stop him from doing anything illegal or criminal then he would give you a perfect example that he has worked all day long has tried on his best to get food for the family honestly but he was unable to do it because some bureaucrat or some technocrat or some politician has taken what was rightfully his.
There are hundreds and thousands of cases in our country on daily basis that reflect the above scenarios. What are we going to do about it what would an average person to about what the common citizen of Pakistan do about it. That is a question that we need to ask ourselves. Only once we have risen up to these questions we will be able to say that YES we love our country. The discussion continues….
